Easy Homemade Creamed Corn Recipe
Simple. Flavorful. A crowd favorite. Yes, that is exactly how I would describe my easy homemade creamed corn recipe!
This recipe couldn't be easier. All you have to do is mix and heat up the ingredients.
I've been making this recipe for years. In fact, I still have my original recipe card (with my horrible kid handwriting and misspellings) from when I wrote down the ingredients the day my Aunt Lisa told me how to make it.
How to Make Creamed Corn
Ingredients Needed
11 oz. of Cream Cheese
6 tablespoons of Butter
2/3 cup Evaporated Milk
4 cups Whole Kernal Corn (drained)
1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
Instructions
Mix all ingredients in a saucepan or slow cooker on low heat. Stir occasionally. Once the mixture thickens it is ready to serve.
Voila! Dish up the easy homemade creamed corn recipe for you and those dining with you.
Notes
• In desperate times, I've used regular milk when I didn't have evaporated on hand. If you do this, simply simmer about 1 cup of regular milk until it cooks down to 2/3 of a cup.
• Smaller crowd? Cut the recipe in half!
• You can use an Instant Pot on the slow cooker setting if you don't have a crockpot.
