Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats Recipe
Let me begin this blog with honesty. I have always loved the idea of overnight oats, but could never seem to get the recipe right. After much trial and error and experimenting with different flavors, I've achieved the most delicious and perfect Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats!
How to Make Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats
Ingredients Needed
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon Maple Syrup
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Pinch of Salt
1 - 2 tablespoons Dark Chocolate Almond Butter (add desired amount)
Mini chocolate chips or chunks (add desired amount)
Almonds (add desired amount)
Instructions
In a bowl that can be covered with an airtight lid, mix together your oats, milk, vanilla, maple syrup, and salt.
Then, add your airtight lid and put in the fridge to sit overnight.
The next morning when you are ready to eat, add the almond butter, chocolate chips and almonds and mix everything together.
Notes
• If I have almond milk, I prefer to use that over regular dairy milk.
• Use a higher percentage of cacao chocolate to make this recipe even healthier. I buy Trader Joe’s 72% Cacao Dark Chocolate Bars – they sell them by the pound!
